Description: Silver gelatin print photograph made from the original x-ray of Theodore Roosevelt's chest after he was shot in 1912. Handwritten notes state that the x-ray was taken by John B. Zingrone at Mercy Hospital, Chicago, on October 15, 1912. A small arrow points to the location of the bullet in the right side of Roosevelt’s chest, which is seen on the left side of the flipped image. Image 1 is the original photograph developed from the x-ray. Image 2 has been edited to remove years of damage and enhance relevant details.
